▶Objectives
The Nightingale project aims to reduce health disparities among women in rural and urban communities by improving health literacy, peer support and access to reliable healthcare information. We will develop tailored health education resources, establish online peer support groups and run awareness campaigns to ensure that women, educators, and community organisations can promote health equity, resilience and informed decision-making for long-term well-being.
▶Activities
The Nightingale project will implement three key activities: 1] Health Literacy Training (Activity 2), where partners will develop and pilot health education modules for women in rural and urban communities. 2] Online Peer Support Groups (Activity 3), offering monthly virtual sessions with expert input and peer-led discussions. 3] Awareness Campaigns and Community Outreach (Activity 4), ensuring widespread dissemination and engagement with key stakeholders.
▶Impact
The Nightingale project will produce three key results: 1] A Health Literacy Training Programme, supporting women with practical skills to navigate healthcare systems and make informed decisions. 2] Online Peer Support Groups, promoting solidarity and shared learning among women facing health disparities. 3] Awareness Campaigns and Community Outreach, ensuring long-term impact by promoting health equity and literacy across diverse communities and stakeholders.
