▶Objectives
This follow-up project of BeNeMinds primarily aims to improve and expand the Videoroute Meertaligheid (VRM) for the middle and upper grades in primary education (BaO), so that - the VRM can be used throughout the primary school to support embedding multilingualism in school policy; - multilingualism policies improve in the international network of participating organisations; - partnerships with parents improve and multilingual students' achievement increases in schools where the VRM is used.
▶Activities
1. A working visit to Ghent 2. Team sessions at schools to collect feedback on the existing VRM 3. Examination of the three key themes in the participating schools 4. A working visit to the Netherlands 5. Refining, deepening and expanding the VRM 6. Dissemination of the extended VRM 7. Project management
▶Impact
The result of the project is that the VRM is more widely known, improved and expanded for the middle and upper grades of primary education (BaO). The expansion concerns specifically 3 themes: 1. Making use of students’ multilingualism in subjects other than language; 2. A strong partnership between schools and multilingual parents; 3. The use of digital technologies in language education for these students.
