▶Objectives
This project equips teachers with structured tools to facilitate dialogue on sensitive topics, fostering critical thinking, media literacy, and civic engagement in students. By integrating non-violent communication and inclusive education strategies, the project strengthens democratic values in schools. The initiative also ensures long-term impact by training educators and embedding methods into national curricula.
▶Activities
The project is developed and tested across four European countries. Molinos de Viento (Netherlands) designs the methodology, while Europass Teacher Academy (Italy) transforms it into a scalable MOOC and toolkit. Secondary schools in Spain and Germany pilot the framework, refining it based on teacher and student feedback. The final version is disseminated widely through Europass' network, ensuring accessibility to thousands of educators.
▶Impact
The project produces a refined MOOC, an interactive toolkit, and scalable teacher training resources. Teachers gain practical strategies to moderate discussions, while students develop critical dialogue and media analysis skills. Long-term impact is ensured through continuous engagement with educators, adaptation of materials, and integration into professional teacher training programs, creating a sustainable model for democratic education in Europe.
