The main objective of ReCare is to empower formal caregivers to involve and train volunteers and informal caregivers to apply reablement approaches to support patients at home. ReCare's specific objectives are: To develop an open access and easily accessible training course for and with formal caregivers to engage and train volunteers and informal caregivers in reablement; To test and validate the training course with the target group; To communicate, disseminate and sustain the training course.

โ–ถActivities

The ReCare project will implement key activities to develop, test and disseminate a reablement training course for formal caregivers. Activities include: * Needs and gaps: interviews with caregivers to identify learning gaps and needs * Training course development: co-creating an open-access course in English, Dutch and Spanish * Testing and validation with formal caregivers * Dissemination and sustainability: sharing updates and results with VET, healthcare institutions and online platforms.

The ReCare project expects the following results: * A fully developed reablement training course for formal caregivers to train informal caregivers and volunteers in NL, ES, and EN * Improved skills and knowledge among formal caregivers * Successful testing and validation of the course * Wide dissemination and adoption * Long-term impact on restoring the functioning of patients with a health setback
