โ–ถObjectives

With this EmpowerED project, we aim to improve the availability of high quality, flexible and recognised learning modules for adults with insufficient numeracy or financial literacy skills. These competences will focus on daily life. Next to that, we will develop guidelines for microcredentials on the relation between numeracy, financial literacy and poverty, so as to facilitate the quality, availability and convenience to add this topic to courses in adult education.

โ–ถActivities

- Develop guidelines for innovative reaching out strategies to attract adult citizens with a low proficiency in financial literacy to join courses - Framework and toolbox of microcredentials for basic financial skills for adult educators - Online microcredentials courses - Develop a raising awareness campaign - Policy recommendations for policy makers in order to implement a microcredentials strategy for basic financial skills in local and regional policies

โ–ถImpact

EmpowerED proposed outcome can be divided into three categories: - Increasing financial literacy (and numeracy) at individual and local level, focussing on daily life; - Microcredentials learning platform on relation between numeracy, financial literacy and poverty; - Guidelines for microcredentials (courses); - A campaign about raising awareness on the importance of the relation between numeracy/ financial / literacy skills and possible poverty issues.
