โถObjectives
Sexual violence (SV) is a persistent societal issue that affects a significant number of students and staff in higher education. HEIs need support in bridging the gap between theory and practice to implement SV prevention and support measures for all individuals, specifically including minoritized groups. This project focuses on providing HEIs with a research-based self-assessment tool to contribute effectively and inclusively to SV prevention and support, creating sustainable change.
โถActivities
This project will investigate the challenges of implementing SV prevention frameworks and the needs of minority groups. We will co-create an innovative digital self-assessment tool for HEIs to support implementation and gain leadership buy-in. A digital conference will inspire and connect experts and newcomers. Additional activities include network-building, study visits, consortium training, and developing resources to strengthen intersectional SV prevention and support.
โถImpact
This project will produce a research article: on the challenges HEIs face in SV prevention implementation and the needs of marginalized and minority groups in SV prevention programs. A research-based 30-minute self-assessment tool will be developed, including handouts for targeted interventions and access to resources. Results include a digital conference, national multiplier events, a LinkedIn page, and connections with experts across Europe.
