โถObjectives
DIRTT3.0 aims to build capacity in trail building education by increasing access to structured, competency based training across Europe. The project addresses the skills gap in sustainable trail development, ensuring that trail builders, from volunteers to professionals, gain the knowledge needed to minimize environmental impact and enhance biodiversity. By strengthening international collaboration in trail building education, DIRTT3.0 supports competence building in the sector.
โถActivities
DIRTT3.0 will develop and validate an EQF Level 3 syllabus, integrate biodiversity and nature restoration learning outcomes across training levels, create MOOC training modules, and establish a COIL-based international learning framework. Activities include structured needs analyses, stakeholder validation through national reference groups, pilot testing of digital learning tools, educator training for COIL delivery, and strategic dissemination efforts to promote adoption.
โถImpact
DIRTT3.0 will provide structured, competency-based training for trail builders across Europe, ensuring stronger sustainability practices through education. The project will result in an EQF Level 3 syllabus, a set of biodiversity-focused learning outcomes integrated into curricula, a fully developed MOOC with self-paced learning modules across EQG level 3 to 5, and an international COIL collaboration framework for vocational schools. These outcomes will expand access to trail building education.
