Objectives

As part of the project, the partners want to develop an educational offer that responds to the contemporary challenges posed by the low level of mathematical skills among adults, particularly seniors. In Poland, as in many other developed countries, population ageing means that an increasing number of older people are experiencing difficulties with numeracy and mathematical reasoning, which significantly affects their daily lives, ultimately leading to social exclusion.

Activities

The following activities are planned as part of the project: -mobility of trainers acting for adults with low level of mathematical skills, especially seniors, -development of a comprehensive educational offer dedicated to learners with low calculation skills and mathematical skills ‘Beyond the formula’ (practical mathematical logic exercises), two-stage scaling-up process - local workshops and transnational mobility for seniors.

Impact

The results of the project will include both personal and intellectual outcomes,in particular the social inclusion of the 20seniors participating in the project(understood as an improvement in their functioning in the information world through the acquisition of basic mathematical skills)and the development of methodological skills of the trainers in the non-formal adult education sector. The intellectual outcome of the project will be a collection of mathematical lesson plans Beyond the formula.
