Objectives

The MACU project focuses on social inclusion, diversity, and shared values. It brings together seniors with different levels of education, income, and health conditions from three post-communist EU countries to share the values that helped them in the fight for democracy and in coping with shortages of goods through creativity, art, and culture. At the same time, it provides young people with a space to express their views on democracy through culture.

Activities

The MACU project will create a digital platform for intergenerational exchange of stories, values, and best practices. Workshops, cultural activities, and other forms of collaboration will be organized to allow seniors and young people to share their experiences through art, acting on stage, songs, poetry, discussions, and eco-friendly activities. The project will also deepen knowledge of history, culture, and European values and ensure inclusive measures for participants with different needs.

Impact

One of the main MACU project outputs will be the performance prepared by seniors and youth from three countries, available for presentation within a year after its completion. A project website and an eBooklet will also be created, featuring best practices in inclusive education and working with seniors and young people. These best practices will be shared with other organizations and communities to ensure the long-term impact of the project.
