Objectives

The project aims to exchange best practices and develop the competencies of 18 educators in modern methods of reading comprehension, text analysis, and critical thinking. Activities include mobilities, workshops, and adapting methods to the needs of adults aged 60+ and those with fewer opportunities. 45 seniors will participate in local workshops, contributing to the improvement of their reading skills and reducing functional illiteracy.

Activities

The project includes two staff mobilities, during which participants will share knowledge and experiences on modern methods of reading comprehension, critical reading, and text analysis, including contemporary texts, as well as the use of reading support applications. Locally, workshops will be held for 45 adults aged 60+, covering the knowledge and skills acquired during the mobilities. The project will result in educational infographics and a reading education program for adults 60+, "I Read,

Impact

The project will enhance educators' competencies in modern methods of reading comprehension, text analysis, and critical thinking. 45 seniors will participate in workshops, improving their reading skills and reducing the issue of functional illiteracy. Educational infographics and the "I Read, Therefore I Am" program will be developed, including a research introduction, workshop scenarios, adapted teaching materials, and a description of reading support applications.
