โ–ถObjectives

The Charites were minor Greek goddesses known for their kindness and grace. Borrowing their name, the Charites, partners would like to achieve the following: 1: Develop resources and tools to support carers in prioritising their physical, emotional and mental well-being. 2: Raise awareness about the importance of carer wellbeing and advocate for policy changes to support carers more effectively. 3: Create peer-support communities for carers to share experiences, strategies, and encouragement.

โ–ถActivities

Through WP2 and WP3 we aim to engage 20 carers per country (120 in total) in piloting. Through WP4, we aim to establish peer-support groups, providing a safe space for carers to share experiences and build a community of practice for formal, informal and family carers. We will also develop awareness campaigns highlighting the value and challenges of caregiving, using storytelling for advocacy and we will organise a European conference (in Poland) on Carer Well-being to encourage policy dialogue.

โ–ถImpact

Charites will produce the following concrete results: 1: Online Modules for Carer Well-Being, which will include an online self-study platform offering e-learning modules for carers to enhance their self-care and well-being. 2: Bite-Sized Resources and 18-Day Self-Care Programme, which will include resources accessible via smartphones. Research tells us it takes 18-days to create a new habit so, we aim to support carers to develop well-being and self-care routines through this Programme.
