▶Objectives
The 'Europe can be liked' project aims to combat Euroscepticism, especially among young people, by drawing on the experience of senior citizens. It combines historical knowledge with modern educational methods, promoting EU awareness. International cooperation, workshops, publications and public debates will strengthen European identity and activate senior citizens. The project seeks to develop educational cooperation models, increasing understanding and involvement in European affairs.
▶Activities
Project activities include: 1)development of a workshop guide on the EU for seniors, 2)conducting workshops for seniors "European ABC: Educational workshops for seniors", 3) discussions of seniors on the impact of the EU on their lives and publication of memoirs, 4) study visits to Brussels/Strasbourg and reports. Partners will be tasked with developing, testing and translating the handbook, organising workshops and disseminating the results.
▶Impact
The "Europe can be liked" project will raise awareness of the EU, strengthen European identity by increasing knowledge of the EU and civilly activate senior citizens. It will reduce Euroscepticism by creating valuable modern educational materials. In line with the priorities of the Erasmus+ programme, the project promotes dialogue, tolerance and democratic participation, reinforcing common European values.
