โ–ถObjectives

DIY Parents supports parents to acquire practical do-it-yourself (DIY)/repair skills while improving their digital literacy to better manage parent-child relationships. We also want to capacity-build adult educators/psychologists/family-caring actors to widen their scope of action in digital and circular economy skills. By engaging parents and children to co-create tangible DIY experiences, DIY Parents will ultimately aim at strengthening environmental awareness and intergenerational learning.

โ–ถActivities

1.Develop a structured methodology to help parents integrate DIY and digital skills into family life. 2.Create accessible learning materials that combine practical repair techniques with digital tools to be used by adult educators and parents 3.Host local workshops where parents, educators, and communities collaborate on sustainable DIY projects. 4.Provide digital resources to enhance learning accessibility and engagement by parents.

โ–ถImpact

1.A curriculum/methodology that equips adult educators to support parents in acquiring DIY and digital skills to enhance family-based learning 2.A toolbox to guide educators to innovate their activities and support parents in implementing DIY projects and improve parental mediation 3.Sustainable, hands-on learning workshops with the support of digital technology to be deployed in the 5 EU countries involving psychologists/adult educators and families.
