▶Objectives
The EcoUnity project aims to foster early inclusion of at-risk children aged 10-14, particularly migrants, Roma, and students with special needs, to prevent dropout and social exclusion. By integrating them at a crucial developmental stage, it helps break the cycle of educational disengagement, unemployment, and marginalization. Through inclusive learning tools, EcoUnity promotes equal opportunities, intercultural dialogue, environmental awareness, and active citizenship.
▶Activities
The project will create innovative, tailored resources on ISL and Social Mixing methodologies, empowering multicultural classrooms through hands-on sustainability projects. These resources will undergo testing with a diverse sample of at least 130 students and 50 teachers across five countries, ensuring their effectiveness in varied cultural and socio-economic settings. The findings will be compiled in a comprehensive Whitepaper, providing best practices and strategic recommendations.
▶Impact
The project delivers a comprehensive sustainability education framework including a 17 SDG-focused lesson plans based on in-serve learning and Social mixing methodologies, a digital repository of 17 branching scenario comics supported by 51 micro-learning resources on the mobile app with (3 SDL per SDL topic), pilots in all partner countries that will test resources in diverse groups, and published findings in a Whitepaper, ensuring scalability, policy recommendations, and long-term adoption.
