The AITRaIN project aims to bridge the gap between the fast-paced development of AI technologies and the current capabilities within SMEs presenting a compelling case for funding due to its direct alignment with critical economic and educational needs faced by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the context of the rapid evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Additionally, it represents a strategic investment in the future of the European economy.
▶Activities
The AITRaIN project will implement the following activities: *Create a comprehensive framework defining AI knowledge and skills for SMEs professionals. *Develop a standardized curriculum rooted in the AI Competences Framework, covering AI fundamentals and innovative generative AI models applicable to SMEs practices *Digital trainin material delivered on an e-platform *Design and implement a system for awarding micro-credentials to professionals based on competency attainment
▶Impact
The AITRaIN project aims to develop an AI Competence Framework and a standardized curriculum based on micro-credentials. Using Design Thinking methodology, a real-world scenario of a 'messy' problem (a capstone project) will be drafted by trainees who have been certified as 'AI integration specialists for SMEs' who, with the support of generative AI models, will provide a solution.
