MIA aims to empower entrepreneurs, artists, and content creators in rural areas by enhancing their digital skills, ethical media practices, and resilience against misinformation. MIA fosters digital readiness, civic engagement, and responsible content creation, ensuring that participants develop the competencies needed to navigate digital platforms ethically and effectively.
▶Activities
MIA will develop a comprehensive media literacy training program, tailored to the needs of cultural creators in rural communities. Additionally, an event in Brussels and online, will bring together stakeholders, policymakers, and media professionals to discuss project findings and future applications. MIA will also produce a Media Literacy Guidebook containing best practices, training methodologies, and policy recommendations.
▶Impact
MIA expects to achieve measurable improvements in digital literacy, misinformation resilience, and ethical content creation among cultural creators in rural areas. Participants will demonstrate improved digital skills and critical media awareness, while actively creating and sharing fact-checked, ethical content. Beyond individual learners, the project’s training framework, guidebook, and policy recommendations will serve as replicable tools.
