โ–ถObjectives

In Europe, 87 million people have disabilities, yet fewer than half are employed. Supported Employment (SE) is a proven pathway to work, with employer engagement playing a crucial role. However, SE professionals struggle in this area. The BE AWARE project tackles this challenge by providing targeted training to boost their confidence and skills in employer engagement. This helps them advocate for clients, address employer concerns, and increase job opportunities for people with disabilities.

โ–ถActivities

The BE AWARE project will develop a blended training package for SE professionals and a best practice handbook for employers. A detailed needs analysis with ASEE members and national stakeholders ensures that these resources address the target needs. BE AWARE partners and stakeholders will co-create them. The training package will be piloted with 30 SE professionals to enhance employer engagement and expand job opportunities for people with disabilities.

โ–ถImpact

The BE AWARE project will disseminate and scale its training package and best practice handbook through national and European networks. By reaching SE professionals in over 25 countries, it aims to strengthen employer engagement across Europe, expanding employment opportunities for people with disabilities, who often face limited options. BE AWARE promotes diversity and inclusion, empowering individuals to participate fully and reach their potential.
