▶Objectives
NAT-CARE aims to integrate Green Prescription into nursing training, equipping healthcare professionals with the skills to prescribe nature-based activitiesand interventions for preventive and holistic care. The project will enhance healthcare professionals' competencies, promote nature-based interventions in health care, and support sustainable healthcare models, promote sustainability in healthcare, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration for long-term institutional adoption.
▶Activities
NAT-CARE will implement a needs assessment, training curriculum, and digital toolkit to equip nurses with Green Prescription competencies. The project includes pilot training in Spain and Portugal, engaging healthcare professionals in hands-on learning. A dissemination strategy will share results through digital platforms, media, and events, while policy engagement ensures long-term adoption of nature-based interventions in healthcare education and practice.
▶Impact
NAT-CARE will deliver an evidence-based Green Prescription training curriculum, a digital toolkit, and pilot training programs for nurses. Results will include policy recommendations, institutional adoption of Green Prescription, and increased awareness of nature-based health strategies i n Spain and Portugal.
