▶Objectives
The main objective of the ICS is to promote the quality of life, social participation and rest of informal caregivers by designing and implementing an innovative methodology to support informal caregivers of youth and adults with autism, which includes the training of young professionals as informal caregiver support technicians (TACI). The ICS aims to respond to a social need that has long been claimed by caregiver families and is transversal to several European countries.
▶Activities
The ICS will design and implement a pilot course directed at up to 36 young people (aged 18-35) in Portugal, Italy and Spain in order to training them to be informal caregiver support technicians. Several transnational meetings will be held in order to prepare 3 national seminars and 1 international webinar.
▶Impact
Design of an innovative TACI training course, which can be replicated internationally by other associations in the area of disability. Submission of a scientific article in a indexed peer reviewed journal. Development of a Multi-resource kit to support informal caregivers of autistic people and an experimental App for scheduling of the TACI services, through which carers can request the desired support, to be made available online for free.
