Objectives

The project aims to integrate STEM education with disaster preparedness, equipping students and teachers with critical knowledge and skills to respond to natural disasters. It seeks to enhance disaster resilience in schools and communities by raising awareness of floods, droughts, forest fires, and earthquakes. The project also fosters international cooperation, strengthens 21st-century skills, and promotes environmental sustainability among participants.

Activities

The project will conduct transnational learning activities, hands-on STEM workshops, expert-led sessions, and scenario-based exercises on disaster preparedness. Local and international collaborations will involve teachers, students, and community stakeholders. Activities such as virtual reality simulations, emergency preparedness training, and student-led projects will enhance engagement. Digital resources, including e-newspapers and an emergency preparedness guide, will ensure long-term impact.

Impact

The project will produce disaster preparedness guides, emergency response plans, and STEM-based educational resources. At least 700 students and 80 teachers will gain disaster awareness, with measurable improvements in knowledge and skills. Institutions will adopt best practices for integrating disaster preparedness into curricula. Community engagement will strengthen resilience, and digital dissemination strategies will ensure long-term access to project materials for broader audiences.
