▶Objectives
By the end of the project, cultural institutions in rural and underserved areas of Italy, Latvia, Romania, and Spain will adopt Universal Design and accessibility principles, improving inclusivity for Persons with Sensory Disabilities (PWD). This will be achieved by training cultural workers, creating practical educational resources, and engaging PWD and decision-makers to integrate accessibility into cultural and tourism planning, fostering sustainable inclusion across Europe.
▶Activities
The activities include developing sensory accessibility guides and checklists (WP2), creating online learning courses and toolkits (WP3), organising international roundtable and advocacy guides (WP4), and launching dissemination campaigns, policy brief and experiential events (WP5). Each activity will involve collaboration of different actors to ensure practical outcomes that foster sustainable inclusion and advocacy across Europe.
▶Impact
The project aims to achieve results, incl. the adoption of Universal Design and accessibility principles in participating cultural institutions. It also anticipates the development of freely accessible educational resources like guides, checklists, toolkits and policy briefs. Additionally, the project seeks to establish or strengthen partnerships between cultural institutions, disability advocates and policymakers outside the immediate consortium, fostering long-term collaboration and impact
