Objectives

The project aims to enhance English proficiency, business communication, and international networking skills for rural tourism SME managers, enabling them to expand into global markets. It also promotes inclusion and accessibility in vocational education by ensuring low-proficiency learners, women entrepreneurs, and disadvantaged SMEs have equal access to high-quality, industry-specific training.

Activities

The project will develop a task-based online English course (A1–B2), including an A1 preparatory course, ensuring inclusivity for all proficiency levels. A resource bank with multilingual customer service scripts, marketing templates, and case studies will provide practical tools for SME managers. Job-shadowing experiences will offer real-world application, while dissemination activities will ensure long-term reach through digital platforms, stakeholder events, and professional networks.

Impact

The project will produce a structured English course, a comprehensive resource bank, and job-shadowing reports, helping rural SMEs improve communication, attract international customers, and expand their businesses. At least 50–60 SME managers will complete training, and businesses will implement internationalization strategies such as multilingual marketing and digital outreach. Stakeholder engagement, digital accessibility, and sustainability efforts will ensure long-term adoption and impact.
