CRAFTWISE aims to develop an innovative apprenticeship model that fosters intergenerational knowledge exchange between young design students and craft professionals. It seeks to preserve traditional crafts, introduce digital tools and business skills, and enhance entrepreneurial opportunities. By ensuring scalability and adaptability, the project supports youth employability, craft sector sustainability, and cross-sector collaboration across Europe.

CRAFTWISE implements two core initiatives: C-Skills (Craft Sector Knowledge, Innovation, Learning & Labour Study) to map stakeholders, identify skill gaps, and inform Collaborative Apprenticeship Program (CAP) content which is intergenerational apprenticeship program which involves developing and delivering the program with four training modules covering theoretical knowledge, technical skills, introduction of technological solutions, and business development.

CRAFTWISE will produce the C-Skills Report identifying skill gaps, a Collaborative Apprenticeship Program (CAP) with four structured training modules, and standardized training materials. It will foster intergenerational learning, equip participants with craft, digital, and business skills, support the development of craft-business ideas, and strengthen cross-sector collaboration, ensuring the long-term sustainability and scalability of the model.
