โ–ถObjectives

Human-wildlife coexistence is a pressing issue in Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, requiring innovative, cross-border solutions. Involving youth in decision-making is crucial, as their perspectives drive lasting change. The YEAH project aims to empower young people through non-formal education on environmental awareness, conservation and citizen science, enabling them to lead and advocate for local initiatives that manage human-wildlife interactions and mitigate conflicts.

โ–ถActivities

We will create 2 non-formal educational programs focusing on environmental protection, conservation and active citizenship and ~1416 youth will engage in these programs (through ~60 events) to gain active citizenship, participatory and leadership skills for engaging in decision-making, research and initiatives. We will establish a network of local stakeholders in RO, BG, and GR to exchange knowledge and strengthen youth involvement in community-driven wildlife management.

โ–ถImpact

The project will create valuable educational resources and increased youth engagement in environmental and conservation efforts. It will enhance knowledge, awareness and active citizenship while developing participatory and leadership skills. The educational tools created will be integrated into local programs, ensuring sustainability. A dynamic network of youth, NGOs, and local stakeholders will collaborate to promote sustainable human-wildlife coexistence, driving long-term positive change.
