Objectives

The goal is to increase the competence of community media journalists in Serbia and Italy to report on local civic initiatives. With innovative approaches, practical hands-on workshops and blended activities, we'll enable strengthening of media and digital literacy and a more professional working environment of local journalists. By cooperating at the EU level, we will strengthen partners, journalists and citizens in terms of environmental sustainability, digital competence and social inclusion.

Activities

We will carry out 4 key activities: - Digital seminar for learning reporting on the mechanisms of citizen participation in the local; - Study visit and practical workshops through hands-on demonstration of innovative media reporting methods; - The creation of a Digital toolkit aimed at empowering community media both locally and at the EU level. - Dissemination of results, online campaign and distribution of articles and digital toolkit through the media platforms of partners and participants.

Impact

The results of the project are: - A Trilingual Digital toolkit to empower community media at the local, regional, and EU level. - 15 journalists articles showcasing innovative reporting practices on civic initiatives, accompanied by photo and video documentation. - A curriculum designed for knowledge exchange and practical, hands-on work to enhance journalists' media literacy. - Recommendations for decision-makers and media organizations to advocate for improvements in the media sector.
