β–ΆObjectives

The overall objective of CREATE is to develop a flexible Creathon model that mobilises HEIs and societal stakeholders across Europe to address key societal challenges. Creathons are defined as creative, intensive, challenge-based events lasting from half a day to a week, fostering collaborative problem-solving. By creating an agile Creathon toolkit, the project will make Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) more accessible, engaging, and impactful for HEIs and external stakeholders.

β–ΆActivities

Through CREATE, we will map and align stakeholder needs in a CBL context, co-design and refine the Creathon format to address EU priorities, and develop a capacity-building framework and toolkit that supports both education and stakeholder engagement. We will pilot two transnational Creathons and a challenge-based BIP, validate and refine the methodology, and disseminate the adaptable toolkit to 560 universities and key academic conferences.

β–ΆImpact

The project will produce the Creathon Toolkit, a scalable model for implementing CBL with low barriers to participation. It will support capacity development with students, teachers, administrators, and external stakeholders, enabling collaboration on societal challenges. Beyond the solutions developed in Creathon pilots, the project aims to foster a long-term mindset shift, empowering stakeholders as active European citizens committed to shared social responsibility and democratic participation
