▶Objectives
The BeeCare project aims to raise awareness among beekeepers about the importance of proper autumn bee feeding for winter survival. It promotes sustainable, natural feeding strategies to reduce reliance on commercial bee feed. The project also empowers beekeepers by providing the tools, knowledge, and skills to prepare homemade food for their colonies, improving bee health and fostering more sustainable beekeeping practices for the long-term benefit of the industry.
▶Activities
The BeeCare project develops essential activities for beekeepers nowadays, namely a digital guide with updated, practical information and tips, but also a set of 24 instructional video activities to help them put into practice the sustainable techniques of feeding bees with organic food made at home from 100% natural resources.
▶Impact
The BeeCare project will deliver 2 key results: a Digital Guide aimed at raising awareness of natural bee nutrition to reduce artificial feeding and promote healthy autumn practices, and a series of 24 Learning Video activities designed to enhance beekeepers' skills in natural bee feeding and pollen collection techniques. These resources will empower beekeepers with practical knowledge, supporting sustainable practices, healthier bee colonies, and a reduced dependency on artificial bee feed.
