Objectives

Children with special education needs, developmental delays and/ or at risk are considered within the context of special education services. This project's overall aim is to improve the professional competencies of special needs care providers (Care give worker [CW]) in terms of scientific evidence-based practices and VR resources. Moreover, SEN pupils' academic, language-communication, and socio-emotional skills will be enhanced depending on practices.

Activities

Within the context of this project, a training module will be developed as a set of educational materials and VR resources. The training module will be prepared at EQF level 6. The training module will be prepared based on the current need analysis report. Then, learning objectives will be drawn from the report. Its effectiveness and impact will be tested through theoretical and on-site practical training with CW and SEN pupils, and impactful and effectiveness will be confirmed based on the data

Impact

The training module, which includes documents, assessment tools and VR resources, will be developed from a multicultural and multidisciplinary perspective and made available to end users. Depending on the implementation of the project, CWs about special education and SEN pupils' academic, language-communication, and socio-emotional skills will be enhanced. The project outputs will be shared with target groups, beneficiaries and relevant organisations.
