Objectives

The EmpowerED project aims to integrate circular economy principles into higher education, develop a digital e-learning platform, and enhance green and digital skills for students and professionals. It seeks to increase employability in sustainability sectors, foster university-industry collaboration, and support climate action policies by equipping learners with practical knowledge aligned with the EU Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan.

Activities

The project will implement activities including curriculum development, e-learning platform creation, and faculty training. It will conduct pilot testing, establish industry partnerships, and organize workshops, webinars, and networking events. The project will also develop open educational resources (OERs), create certified training programs, and integrate at least one elective course into university curricula with an ERA code.

Impact

The project will produce an e-learning platform, integrate sustainability modules into academic curricula, and develop a Green University Matrix for sustainability benchmarking. At least 100 students will complete pilot courses, and the Continuing Education Center (SEM) will offer a certified sustainability training program. The project will enhance digital learning adoption, boost green sector employability, and influence higher education policies.
