Objectives

The Youth4SmartCities project aims to empower young people by enhancing their digital literacy, data analysis skills, and civic engagement in smart city governance. The project will train 500 youth, engage 30 municipalities, and develop a Youth-Driven Smart Cities Policy Guide to institutionalize youth participation in urban planning. Through trainings, pilot projects, and policy dialogues, the project fosters sustainable, youth-led digital transformation at local and European levels.

Activities

The Youth4SmartCities project includes digital literacy training for 500 youth, municipal training for officials, and policy dialogues to enhance youth participation in smart city governance. Activities include hackathons, pilot projects in 30 municipalities, an open-access learning platform, and a Youth-Driven Smart Cities Policy Guide. The project will also organize 25 dissemination events and a final conference to ensure long-term impact and sustainability.

Impact

The Youth4SmartCities project will produce 500 digitally skilled youth, 30 municipalities adopting youth-driven smart city strategies, and a Youth-Driven Smart Cities Policy Guide. It will establish an open-access digital learning platform, conduct 25 dissemination events, and influence local and national policies.
