▶Objectives
The Creative Future Citizen (CreFuCi) project aims to empower young adults, refugees, women in precarious situations, LGBTQ+ communities and citizens to actively shape sustainable and inclusive futures. Through art-based learning, ecological practice and digital innovation – especially Virtual Reality – it strengthens skills, creativity and participation. The project builds a cross-border community, fosters European identity and develops transferable methods for long-term impact.
▶Activities
CreFuCi will be implemented through two kick-off events in Heerlen and Eupen, eight thematic workshops (four per country), and two final events. A Virtual Reality Lab in Eupen collects and transforms workshop results into immersive learning environments. Bi-monthly partner meetings ensure coordination, while technology transfer strengthens both sides. Multipliers from education, culture and civil society are actively involved to expand outreach. A toolkit will secure transfer and sustainability.
▶Impact
The project creates a cross-border Community of Practice in art-based ecological and digital education. Results include a permanently operated VR Lab in Eupen as an innovative learning space, eight workshops with concrete outputs, and a transferable toolkit. Participants gain ecological competences, digital empowerment, and inclusive experiences. Multipliers spread the results into schools, NGOs, cultural institutions, and municipalities, ensuring sustainable visibility and impact across Europe.
