Objectives

The aim is to create training and educational resources that coaches can use to improve the reception and adaptation of esports activities for young disabled people. Relevant standards will also be developed to ensure that facilities and activities are accessible and inclusive for these individuals. The goal of this project is to reduce the social isolation of young disabled people and promote their inclusion in society through esports.

Activities

Activity 1 – Inclusion guidelines • Creation of guidelines for the inclusion of young disabled esports athletes and enthusiasts. Activity 2 – Training seminar • Conduct a training seminar for esports trainers, where they will learn the manual, the guidelines, and how to apply them in their everyday work. Activity 3 – Demonstration tournament • Organize a demonstration tournament in one participant country. Relevant stakeholder, policymakers and politicians will also be invited as guests.

Impact

Result 1 - Guidelines and a training manual that are universally applicable across cultures. • Socially isolated young people with disabilities will be less likely to quit esports if their trainers understand their situation and are proactive in providing them with support. Result 2 – Inspired trainers that inspire others. • Esports trainers who are conscious of inclusion are more likely to create an inclusive team spirit. Result 3 – Connecting diverse young people and motivate policy makers.
