▶Objectives
The aim of the project is to provide adults with sound knowledge about sustainable gardening in small spaces. It is particularly aimed at people without a garden, hobby gardeners interested in ecological methods, as well as teachers in adult education. Participants are to be enabled through theoretical content and practical instructions to independently carry out gardening activities and to develop stronger environmental awareness.
▶Activities
The project comprises three core activities: First, the development of a permanent and publicly accessible online learning platform with theoretical knowledge, practical instructions, and teaching materials. Second, the implementation of three practice-oriented workshops, the content of which will be published as video tutorials on the platform. Third, a transnational learning journey to City Farm Vienna, where successful urban gardening concepts will be explored and adopted for the project.
▶Impact
The project creates a permanent and interactive online learning platform that provides theoretical knowledge, practical instructions, and teaching materials. A discussion forum enables the exchange and sharing of experiences. The three workshops convey sustainable cultivation methods, the content of which will remain available as video tutorials. The platform is designed as a long-term accessible reference tool and can be supplemented selectively if capacities allow.
