โ–ถObjectives

Opening Doors establishes a Youth Cultural Access Observatory in Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki. In each city, a Teen Advisory Board will produce an annual Youth Access Index, test micro-interventions, and share results with peers and policymakers. Objectives: build a youth-led monitoring method, generate comparative evidence, strengthen skills, and provide transferable, interdisciplinary tools with European relevance.

โ–ถActivities

The project follows a 3-year cycle in Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki. Teen Advisory Boards meet ~12 times/year to investigate institutions using shared tools. Findings feed into the annual Youth Access Index and inspire one micro-intervention per city. Results are shared via youth-to-youth formats (i.e. videos, social media, podcasts, zines) and policy briefs, with an annual transnational meeting ensuring comparison, interdisciplinarity and European transferability.

โ–ถImpact

Over 3 years, 90 young people gain research, communication and civic skills. Outputs include 3 Youth Access Index reports, 9+ micro-interventions, an open-source toolkit and a final European synthesis. Dissemination reaches peers through formats such as videos, podcasts and other formats where relevant, and policymakers through briefs, reports and symposia. Participating institutions gain direct, structured feedback. The findings, and Observatory model are made transferable across Europe.
