Sport Partnership Runs In Natural Trails.

SPRINT has brought together, for the first time, citizens from different nations, with the joint purpose to disseminate the values of the European Week of Sport 2016 and 2017 and promote voluntary activities in sport.After the end of the 18 months of the SPRINT Project, the Partners can state that the following final outcomes have been reached:- Valorisation of volunteering and active participation at local and at European level;- Awareness of the major European values and principles (e.g. social inclusion, equal opportunities for all, democracy, peace, tolerance, solidarity and individual freedom);- Deeper knowledge of the physical and psycological benefits brought by constant and balanced sport trainings and by a balanced diet;- Equal access to runs and nordic walking activities for all;- Valorisation of the European Weeks of Sport 2016 and 2017;- Participation of about 4000 athletes and trainers (of which about 50 with fewer opportunities and/or special needs due to cultural differences, disability and economic obstacles) to the planning, practical organisation and execution of all the SPRINT activities, in support to UISP;- Identification and mapping of the 7 European trails classified by technicians of Associazione Culturale Veramente Orte supported by two guests: “Ammappalitalia-Percorsi e tracciati da paese a paese”-Italy and “Cycling Club of Dali”-Cyprus, who brought added value during the nordic walking excursions guided by Asociatia Romana Nordic Walking-Romania and SINW-Scuola Italiana Nordic Walking-Italy. These new mapped pathways are now used by the athletes for their trainings, by the locals and by the tourists too;- 6 International Project Conferences with related running events, mappings and nordic walking trainings/excursions;- Social, economic, cultural and touristic impact of the International Events in the venues where they have been performed: Sümeg-Hungary, Messeni-Greece, Idalion-Cyprus, Brno-Czech Republic, Wieliszew-Poland and Orte/Montalto di Castro-Italy;- Good results concerning number of participants and commitment of the organisers as for the planning and management of the transnational awareness campaign on the European Week of Sport 2016 and 2017, local Athletics Open Days, Senior and Master Program, train the Trainers Program, lifelong Athletics and Nordic Walking Open Days;- Constant brainstorming on the local trails identified for the running competitions in Greece, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Poland and Italy and for the nordic walking excursions in Hungary, Greece, Czech Republic, Poland and Italy;- Mappings of 7 new trails (1 in each partner country);- Involvement of the 95% of volunteers;- Production of the Guidelines of Sport Teaching Models;- Achievement of particular social skills such as fair play, teamwork, persistence, responsibility, leadership, tolerance and respect for others;- Birth of future collaborations especially between the athletes and trainers of UIPS and those from VAMOS (Cyprus) and I Hara Tou Paidiou (Greece);- Best practice exchange, among the Partners, concerning sport practices and a balanced diet;- Valorisation and dissemination of the Erasmus Plus Sport Programme, of the Europe 2020 Strategy, of the European Disability Strategy 2010-2020 and of the EU strategy for equality between men and women 2015-2020, during the six Official conferences held in Sümeg, Messeni, Idalion, Brno, Wieliszew, Orte and Montalto di Castro;- During the local Lifelong Athletics and Nordic Walking Open Days and during the Senior and Master Program sessions an involvement of about 5000 citizens has been reached (volunteers, athletes, trainers, amateurs, sport stakeholders, presidents and members of sport and cultural clubs, nutritionists, testimonials and international athletes);-Active involvement of the local medias in each of the Partner Countries;-Excellent visibility of www.sprintprojecterasmus.eu.This text continues on report.doc
