▶Summary
Main activities have been divided in 7 work packages (WP) and each had its specific outcomes. The Project started as planned, on the November 1st 2016, and it has reached planned outcomes defined by each WP. 1)WP1: Management and Coordination-Fitness Academy managed overall administrative and financial aspects and coordinated activities and meetings that include Sending Organizations-3 subcontractors were selected-The first kick-off meeting was held in Zagreb in December 2016 where 24 members from 12 Sending Organizations got familiar with the main project’s activities and objectives, with their roles within the project and where were addressed key topics and issues related to the project, i.e. anorexia and sports activities. 2)WP2: Monitoring and Evaluation-Regular monitoring actions were put in place to assure the effectiveness of project’s activities-The special regard was given to the budget expenditure-A time registration system for the staff members was established and the methodology for collection, categorization and preservation of all documentation related to the eligible activities was developed -Project activities were regularly evaluated on group meetings3)WP3: Collection of institutional policies within the participating countries-All relevant legal policies, internal regulations and economic aspects related to the Projects topic and goals have been collected, analysed and sent to the Fitness Academy by sending organizations-Report about relevant legal policies, internal regulations and economic aspects related to anorexia and physical activities has been made and it's implemented in final manual.4)WP4: Collection of best practices and context analyses-Before intermediate meeting in Zagreb (May, 2017), sending organizations gathered, according to possibilities, best practices related to the anorexia (or eating disorders in general) and physical activity-Questionnaires were elaborated and administrated to the members of participating organizations-Fitness Academy’s team made 3 visits to renowned structures dealing with the project’s topic: Athens (8.-11.2.'17), the Centre for Education and Treatment of Eating Disorders; Helsinki, (14.-17.3.'17), at Central Clinic of Eating Disorders of Seinajoki and Frankfurt (14.-16.5.'17) at German sport for all organization DTB-Reports were made for all visits-Final report which consists of result elaboration and identification of most suitable experiences has been made5)WP5: Realization of the sport event (week of sport)-Sport event has been held in Pula (22.-27.09.'17) -Before the event itself, selection of participants and volunteers, as well as the organization of different sports events and other activities has been made-There were 143 participants on event, out of which 30 speakers and 12 volunteers (NB. the total number of participants from the sending organizations includes both fields- fitness and eating disorders)-The participants were selected based on their field of expertise and their personal anorexia experience-Sports events were divided into 2 groups: health oriented physical activity and sports activities that were organized in non competitive way according the afflicted persons abilities6)WP6: Organization of international conference, round tables and workshops-Selection of the participants, organizational activities and informing wider public has been conducted before the sport event-International conference, round tables and workshops were organized within sport event in Pula7)WP7: Communication and dissemination-The ad hoc web site was created (www.bsoe.eu)-Promotional material was produced (flyers, posters)-Social media tools were engaged -Main media (TV, newspapers,magazines) got involved to guarantee the visibility of the project and to reach target groups-Sending organizations were spreading main news in their countries, mainly via web
