OBJECTIVES AND PRIORITIES Sports and physical activity are important and effective vehicles to improving health and well-being.Furthermore, sport is a tool to promote integration and combat discrimination and racism since sports are inherently based on participation and nonviolent values at their core.In this project we focused on some sport activities like football, touch-rugby, marathon, cricket, and other sports and physical activities, that in the last years have been used in several European countries as means and opportunities to enhance an intercultural dialogue among people from different cultures. Of course we are talking about non-professional athletes, and particularly those projects that have been used with refugees and asylum seekers, and with migrants in general. The primary aim of the project was to create awareness-raising activities for amateur athletes, coaches, trainers, educators who work in the particular fields of sports connected with solidarity and social inclusion, sharing good practices and creating Open Educational Resources about how sports can support social inclusion.General aims of the project have therefore been:-to explore and share good practices utilizing sports activities to work for intercultural dialogue, to faith against racism, violence, supporting social inclusion and active citizenship;-to create awareness-raising activities for amateur athletes, coaches, trainers, educators who work in the particular fields of sports connected with solidarity, social inclusion, and migrants;-to create some Open Educational Resources relating to how sports can support social inclusion, with a special focus on migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. This harmonizes with the specific goals of Collaborative Partnership: fight “intolerance and discrimination; promote voluntary activities in sport, together with social inclusion, equal opportunities and awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity, through increased participation in, and equal access to sport for all”.PROJECT IMPLEMENTATIONThe project has realized several meaningful outputs:•Desk research – A desk-research carried out in each country of the partnership, in order to achieve the state of art about the amateur sports practices with refugees and migrants. •Sport ID Training module – Creation of a training for trainers and for multipliers, addressed to educators, volunteers, workers in the sector and coaches on sports activities with migrants and refugees.•Web training course - All the material produced by the training for trainers will be available on the portal in the form of web training module.
