Traditional Sports and Games Promotional Programmes For Young People

The TSG4YOU project has been successfully completed with achievements of main objectives as planned in the initial project proposal, and briefly described below.1) firstly, more than 500 young girls and boys (7-17 yo) from different disadvantaged groups, have been directly involved in different project activities in 3 Partners Countries (Italy, Romania and Bulgaria) for promoting equity, integration and social inclusion through traditional sport and games initiatives; for rediscovery of traditional sport and games; for promotion of real sport values.In details, with reference to the overall objective of the project, the activities listed below have been undertaken by project’s partners (within the WP2) with the following outputs/results: TSG Programme in Italy (Municipalities of Bresso and Cinisello Balsamo, Associazione Gruppo Sportivo Bresso4 and Comunità Nuova Onlus, about 250+ young participants); TSG Programme in Romania (Baicoi, CS Aurora Baicoi, 100+ participants); TSG Summer Camp in Bulgaria (Razgrad, Stefan Noykov Foundations, 120 young participants).2) the second project achievement has been the creation of the European network (4 partners from 3 EU Member States) as well as sharing and transferring experiences among partners in the fields of the project (traditional sport and games and social inclusion) through 3 transnational partners’ meeting and study visits in partners’ Countries, Within WP3 of the project work plan 3 transnational partners meetings took place (in Bucharest and Baicoi on January, in Milan and Bresso on May and finally in Sofia, November 2017) and represented the opportunity for partners to share ideas, experiences, and transfers best practices, initiatives and innovative approaches in promoting EU traditional sport and games and promoting sport and social inclusion.3) Finally, the project also achieved positive results in relation to the specific objectives for raising awareness on the role of sport and social inclusion, through communication and dissemination activities carried out in WP4 that will continue also beyond the end of the project.As far as the implementation phase of the project, please find below more details on activities undertaken and completed, in line with the project’s objectives and initial work plan.WP1 Project management and WP3 Networking activities: 3 transnational partners’ meetings and study visits took place within the project, with 2+ representatives from partner organizations at each transnational meeting:1.1 – 3.1 KOM, Bucharest and Baicoi (Romania), 26-27 January 2017, 8 participants;1.2 – 3.2 Mid-term partners’ meeting, Milan (Italy), 26-27 May 2017, 11 participants;1.3 – 3.3 Final meeting, Sofia (Bulgaria), 17 November 2017, 11 participants.WP2 TSG Programmes in each partner Country: 2.1 TSG Programme in Italy (Municipalities of Bresso and Cinisello Balsamo, Associazione Gruppo Sportivo Bresso4 and Comunità Nuova Onlus, about 250+ young participants); 2.2 TSG Programme in Romania (Baicoi, CS Aurora Baicoi, 100+ participants); 2.3 TSG Summer Camp in Bulgaria (Razgrad, Stefan Noykov Foundations, 120 young participants).WP4 Communication and dissemination 4.1 Project website (http://www.tsg4you.eu/ ) and Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/tsg4you/ , in addition to parnters' websites and social media;4.2 Project promotional material (project banners, roll-ups, t-shirts and gadgets for young participants).For a detailed description of activities carried out, please refer to the paragraphs below.
