Minifootball for increased HEPA
โถSummary
MINI4eU Erasmus+ funded Project was aimed at increasing Health Enhancing Physical Activity and raising awareness thereof. To achieve these Objectives, the Project team engaged in different activities focused on the different target groups. The primary event, the final event of MINI4eU gathered more than 1300 participants from 18 different European countries, including candidates and partner countries. This final tournament included men and women competitions for the 115 different teams participating, but also kids competitions as well as one of the highlights- the competition for disabled children from different countries.Apart from the main event itself and in preparation for it, the team had extensive dissemination and marketing activities, aimed at increasing the general awareness about mini football, how easily it can be played by people from all ages, and the health benefits of doing regular sports activities. Thanks to the online promotion activities, new website and mobile app, total followers of the European Minifootball Federation on facebook and instagram increased from 20,000 to 45,000, a 125% increase. During September, the EMF paged reached through sharing and online engagement over 60,000 people. In the run-up to the event, apart from the Kick-off and mid-term conference, different training sessions were held, covering the topics of the importance of Health Enhancing Physical Activity, increasing knowledge of referees and coaches on social inclusion. This also included Training sessions by experts for social inclusion, on the inclusion in grassroots sports of groups with fewer opportunities in Szekesfehervar. As Dissemination and Marketing activities for promoting MINI4eU and the awareness on HEPA was paramount to the Project, the dedicated Media Manager devoted his whole time, in cooperation with the rest of the team in active promotion of the MINI4eU final event, months before the event itself.Campaigns were initiated on Facebook, YouTube as well as on the MINI4eU webplatform. Partnering with online marketing company was established to develop Mini4EU mobile app, website under minifootball.eu and create online promotions. In August 2018, one month before the final MINI4eU Event, -Mini4EU is promoted on electronic advertising boards during EMF EURO 2018 matches in Kiev, Ukraine. The matches and Mini4EU messaging are broadcasted in 22 TV stations across Europe.Since MINI4eU focused on social inclusion, and working with mentally challenged persons and children, it was of primary importance to find and include children from these groups, engage them in meetings during the preparation of the meeting as well as bring teams from different countries in the mentally/physically challenged persons tournament. One successful case study included organizing a qualifier for 3 mentally challenged persons Teams in Israel, the winning team of which was invited to the final event in Szekesfehervar, to compete with other teams from Hungary and the region, but also the work with them before the final event and special training sessions organized for them.Apart from meeting this sensitive group, meetings with associations of groups with fewer opportunities were also realized (orphan children, homeless, municipalities with restricted access to infrastructure).MINI4EU, with its activities, outreach and dissemination activities has achieved and over-achieved the planned Objectives for this Erasmus+ supported Project.
