โ–ถSummary

The Ride to Learn in Europe project aimed at enhancing the events linked to the pedal cars, giving them a European dimension and especially trying to promote the potentialities of this sport activity in terms of sport, education and social inclusion. The project work programme has been developed on the basis of the logical frame approach (Project Life Cycle methodology). Partners have shared an analysis of problems and needs which brought them to the project elaboration and submission, defining the project scope and objectives, as well as expected results. Activities have been therefore developed and implemented starting from the expected results, by structuring 3 โ€œcontentsโ€ work packages (WP1, WP2 and WP3), besides the preparation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination activities. To be noted that each work package included both transnational and local activities, in order to have a wider impact at local level and to involve a higher number of people. The first transnational meeting in Faenza (May 2018) introduced the theme of the capacities of planning and organization of pedal cars events (expected result 1). A public seminar was organized, allowing partners to bring their experiences on the subject and to confront with event organizers of the Faenza area. During this first meeting thematic working groups were also activated, through which each partner contributed to the development of the project themes; local activities organized around TPM1 have been meetings with local schools and the signing of an operational agreement for the implementation of VAPs in Faenza; the establishment of relations between HIS and some technical schools in Ankara to promote the knowledge of pedal cars and encourage their involvement in an event; meetings with institutions (the partner SSA Holice has held meetings with the municipality and the Czech Association of Pedal Cars). The second transnational meeting in France (September 2018) focused on the expected result n. 2, networking capacities (within transnational and local/territorial relations). During the meeting partners presented the funding opportunities to continue the cooperation and possibly enlarge the partnership. Furthermore, FFCVP, as coordinator of the thematic working group on the harmonization of race rules, presented a draft of guidelines and promoted a discussion among partner in order to reach a definitive text. Local activities realized within this topic have been local meetings aiming at promoting the organization of new races (for example, in the Emilia-Romagna Region, a new race started in Lugo thanks to networking activities between Faenza and Cotignola and the schools); meetings aiming at promoting new international relations (also in order to enlarge the partnership for future projects); local seminars; meetings with institutions (SSA Holice has held meetings with the municipality and the Czech Association of Pedestrian Cars). An important application of this local activities brought to the formalization of cooperation paths through local agreements (municipality/school/sport associations). The third transnational meeting and the final meeting (Holice โ€“ May 2019 and Ankara โ€“ October 2019) focused on the third expected result (effectiveness of communication). During the last meeting partners also presented the conclusions of the working group on athletic preparation and safety of race rules. Local activities linked to the theme are: communication activities (press conferences, press article, meetings with schools and associations, etc.).Regarding the communication activities, partners realized a project Website, a Facebook page, roll-ups and information material on the project and on single activities.
