▶Summary
The project BBCo - Be a Better Coach – Enhancement the qualifications of coaches through the transfer of good practices, No 2017-2606/001-001 was implemented within ERASMUS+ Sport Programme. It was realized during 12 months, between January and December of 2018 as a small collaborative partnership with participation of 4 partners from central Europe:1. KS Pradniczanka – Poland, coordinator of the project2. FK Gascontrol Havířov, z.s – Czech Republic, partner of the project3. Oravan - Slovakia, partner of the project4. UKS Jedynka - Poland, partner of the projectAll clubs knew each other from various sport events, contests and competition, however they have never cooperated together in the European project.Main idea which joined clubs and people working for them was women football and the inequality of the sport with comparison to men football. One of the reasons for the inequality which was spotted at the stage preceding the submission of the project application was disparity of qualification between coaches of men and women football teams with lower level of the second. Lack of coaches’ qualification implied worse level of trainings and, as a consequence, lower overall level of women football teams capabilities, less successes and obviously less interest from fans.Responding the needs, four clubs decided to apply and, after acquiring the project, implement the project dedicated to enhancement of a good governance and abilities of sports clubs' staff engaged in trainings of women football teams in countries participating in the project, through transfer of good practices aimed at improvement of knowledge, skills and competences. Additional goal of the project was to establish a network for closer cooperation in order to promote women's football. Achievement of these results would contribute to popularization of women football and increase the impact of this sport in the social sphere. The BBCo project was implemented through activities divided into periods marked by 3 transnational meetings being kind of the project milestones. Each meeting was opportunity to exchange good practices during coaches work with athletes teams and establish closer cooperation within small network of clubs joined by the idea of women football. The 1st meeting was dedicated to set up direction of the project, to present the plan of activities for upcoming months and elaboration of ‘Curriculum for coaches’ which established the theoretical grounds for coaches work within the project. As a result of the 1st meeting partners developed draft version of the curriculum and decided to conduct the short survey to detect real level of knowledge among coaches participating in the project. During months following the 1st meeting partners communicated by means of on-line meetings in order to elaborate a final version of the curriculum, to execute the survey, to coordinate proper realisation of the curriculum. The 2nd meeting was dedicated to summary of activities done during the 1st period and establishment of precise plan of activities for upcoming months of 2nd stage of the project.
