▶Summary
At the beginning of the project, Olympiacos organized a kick-off meeting with the presence of the other two clubs’ representatives discussing the project implementation, the focus and the range of the activities. Moreover, the clubs cooperated in the training of coaches exchanging ideas via emails and skype meetings under the guidance of a Greek coaching and consulting company. Every club organized multisport days in order to encourage participation of refugees in different sport activities. Olympiacos: The club organized the sport activities in its facilities in collaboration with the Ministry of Sport and the NGOs Unesco and Arsis. Trainers of different sport departments such as volleyball, football, basketball, boxing, taw kwon do, kayaking, athletics, football promoted their different disciplines giving the refugees the chance to practice well-known sports in their countries and new ones. These events aimed to the social inclusion in the local communities of the partners and their health improvement. Apart from the trainers, young athletes of Olympiacos Academies and famous Greek celebrities participated in the events being ambassadors of this initiative. It can be said that the organization of these multisport days achieved to promote the physical activity to the refugees, their social integration and the creation of bridges among different cultures.Levski - Sport For All: The Sport club “LEVSKI – Sport for all” organized the activities on the territory of Bulgaria. The team investigated the status of a refugee presence on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. It established a partnership with the Ministry of Interior through the Sports Association of the Ministry of Interior and the National Directorate for Migration. The project staff held a series of meetings with representatives of institutions - Sofia Municipality, Ministry of Interior and Specialized Home for Temporary Accommodation of Foreigners - Busmantzi.They have selected a team of sports professionals to engage in sports activities with refugees in the home in accordance with their sporting preferences and base capabilities. The club organized sports events on four types of sports / football, basketball, volleyball and badminton / with more than 70 refugees. Also, they bought and donated sports equipment to the home for the needs of the occupants. Aab: The Danish club organized a multisport event at the House that the refugees are hosted in Denmark and another one at its facilities. The club trainers of handball, floor hokey and football organized activities for 40 children assisting them to practice new sport disciplines, discover their talents and interests and enjoy their time with the club athletes and ambassadors. Also, during the project implementation, the clubs' staff organized different meetings with the representative of the national federations and Ministries and NGOs involved in the project to discuss and prepare the project implementation. During the whole project, a project website and facebook account was created in order to post press releases about the project activities. Moreover, Olympiacos organized a press conference and all the partners held dissemination seminars so as to share the results, spread the project message and sensitize the local communities about the social inclusion of refugees. Apart from that, they created a report about the multisport map based on the refugees' sport preferences and the communication staff ran a social media campaign with photos of athletes with the message "We Give Hope''.
