Summary

“A ball for all” was a 19, finally, months' small collaborative partnership of a Hellenic Sports Club, Turkish Blind Sports Federation, a Cypriot Municipality and a Hungarian non-profit CSOs. The aim was to educate general Elementary schools, NGOs and public structure how to create a more inclusive society with the use of innovative mini blind footballs as a non-formal learning tool. A unique mini blind football for children was produced and distributed after the implementation of our workshops at schools and blind, with a logo on it “Erasmus+”.Our priority was to promote inclusion in terms of Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes. We launched a campaign “A ball for all” raising awareness for equal opportunities and putting “sports for all” first in general schools where pupils with different abilities are together.The project met the necessity to build a more inclusive society, using blind football as a tool, promoting opportunities for societal engagement both on a local and European level.Our 2019-2020 nineteen months' partnership improved the evidence-base of sport to tackle societal and economic challenges as well as transnational, preparatory/ mid-evaluation/ final meetings, promotional events in different Erasmus+ Program countries and awareness-raising actions.We included sighted and blind experts in our project as well as gender balanced blended delegation, of sighted/ blind – VIPeople volunteer staff. Our Sports Ambassador was a totally blind Paralympic winner, a legend in blind football field.We focus on our local communities but the EU added value was significant in terms of awareness International Campaign. A promo video was designed for the use of social media and TV channels, conveying the mentality of inclusion.We supported children with double stigma, refugees and blind, in permanent refugee camps providing balls for free.All outcomes, tools, productions, materials, events are fully accessible to all.
