PINK REVOLUTION: HER PONT OF VIEW ABOUT SPORT

The project “PINK REVOLUTION: HER POINT OF VIEW ABOUT SPORT”, acronym PINK, focused on the gender discrimination into the field of sport, especially on disadvantages of women in professional and sports professional life, because of resistance and prejudice, resulting from the belief that sports are a purely "men’s scope".The project tried to benefit from this trouble situations to take the chance for contributing to a cultural "revolution", in that way a “pink revolution”.Initially the project had foreseen 5 transnational meetings, including workshops and surveys with participants sent by international partners from Turkey, Macedonia, Romania and Spain:theproject had the scope to enhance awareness, information, technical discussion, stakeholders involvement, about gender discrimination and to promote the creation of an international network by which promoting better conditions, better rights and better work environment into the field of sports.The main activities realised during the project provided concrete results, such as the creation of a group of analysis about equality and gender discrimination policies and the identification of tools aimed to prevent gender discrimination, after the realization of a deep analysis and an overview of the phenomenon.The main outputs produced by the project consists in analysis of the actual situation and creation of documents and materials including innovative tools aimed to estabilish and promote correct behaviours and practices.The documents contains a framework of “Code of Conduct for the preservation of the dignity and wellness of women in the places and in the practice of sport”, and in the intention of the partners, it is an initial step for contributing to prevent gender discrimination and for promoting a significant cultural shift. The Code is knowable and usable for everybody, spread and promoted by dissemination channels.Thanks to the project was also created and promoted a public survey focused on the topics of gender gaps and gender discriminations: the results were analysed and described by thepartnership on the website and permitted to study opinions and experiences of a sample of involved people on the theme.At the end of the project and in order to create a strong network, the partner organizations established an informal network named "International Association of Women into the sport", thatwants to be the initial framework for a durable and constant collaboration with the purpose of promoting equity opportunities and tackling gender discrimination, through the spreding ofcommon values and best practices, trying to realise new actions and European projects together and also achieveng new partners.
