Background Mr. Cremonini (FIP) and his staff are considered the best experts all around the world about the innovations of Minibasket: they proposed a new model of Minibasket for solving the problem of early abandonment by kids caused by basket rule complexity. Around this idea, Olimpia Basket decided to build up a European partnership involving National Federations (Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark), University (Lituania), schools, NGO and clubs for developing and promoting a new basket model for kids. Objectives The project aimed at:- promoting sport training and skills development- fighting against violence, racism, discrimination and intolerance in sport- developing a new model of basket for kids at a European level thanks to the cooperation of four National Basketball Federation- testing and promoting the new model- producing and publishing learning tools- promoting and supporting the dual careers objective giving new employment opportunities for ex- athletes in the field of basket for kids Implementation Implementation phases:1.Development of EasyBasket model -Analysis of the needs (survey) -Transnational meetings for stimulating the debate among partners technicians to reach a shared model of EasyBasket; courses for training of operators in partner countries2.Easybasket learning tools -Paper Easybasket guide published in 7 languages on the project website -Easybasket e-learning web portal published (free access)3.Testing Easybasket model in schools 4.Results publication / dissemination Achievements 1. Easkbasket model for teaching basket to kids have been developed sharing experiences and knowledge at a European level2. A complete survey and analysis about the needs has been carried by the University partner (project website)Tools for future Easybasket coaches:3.
