Dance Accessibility and Inclusion - DAN.CE IN
▶Summary
The project has been realised through the study phases that have been agreed between the partners before the start of the activities. The team leader Ijshaamanka has carried out the task of coordinating the various phases of the project by dividing the work phases between each partner with the aim of making them more involved and an active part in its success. The distribution of tasks involved for each host team :the search, in line with the established budget, of a location suitable for hosting meetings, participation in recommending the best accommodation suitable for hosting delegations, the solutions regarding the consumption of daily meals, the means of transport to move between the accommodation and laboratory locations, the dissemination of the project through various types of channels, the creation of a spin event off at the end of the meeting and above all a work program that described in detail the activities with previously established times. This organization of each individual meeting was essential in order to make the most of the available timings and above all to respect the particular conditions on the part of participants with disabilities and to be e sensitive to their needs, for example, to organise workshops of short duration with inclusive dance that required short but frequent stops. All information once received was filtered by the team leader ijshaamanka who for each meeting defined the optimal reception conditions, while leaving the time tables of the activities to the host organization because each host country has different times according to the local customs to which each delegation had to adapt. The common element to all the three meetings as scheduled, was to carry out the daily workshops of inclusive dance which saw the sharing between able-bodied and disabled people, even if each meeting adopted a different guideline depending on the host country and based on their traditions and particularities, thus giving a characterizing tone to each meeting (example was the inclusive flamenco workshop with a teacher from the conservatory of Alicante). Another element that gave a different characterization between country was the spin off event where each organizing delegation tried to challenge the greatest benefit from this final meeting according to their needs in consideration of the sustainability of the project for the future. For the development of a report on the entire period reserved for meetings, the team leader ijshaamanka worked to keep and record all the programs carried out and made use of an operator to make videos and photos that documented the event and then created a detailed report uploaded on the dedicated web platform portal. The opportunity to participate in a project of this value has certainly contributed, especially for the Italian team leader "ijshaamanka" and for the English partner "The garage", to weave important relationships with other institutions and associations that deal with social issues in the field of disability, creating a strong basic link for future forms of collaboration. Even for the drafting of the final report, it seemed appropriate to ask the partners themselves for their impressions, considerations and points of view on the activities carried out so as to build on this experience for the future.
