Background How to effectively tackle the high level of physical inactivity in Europe? To focus actions on the workplace is the key to reach a large population. This conviction served as a catalyst to the project. Everyone agrees that physical activity at the workplace is essential but the sporting practice in companies represents only 13% of sport practice - 2018 Eurobarometer.Defined before the COVID pandemic, HEMA had been adapted to the new working and mobility conditions to get the best of the period. Objectives To understand and imagine concrete solutions and guidelines to implement programs at EU workplaces in favor of the promotion of physical activity and active mobility> 1st step: to identify best practices and draw up our own overview of the situation in Europe. > 2nd step: to embark on a test&learn pilot for lessons learnt and digital challenge.> 3rd step: to develop and transfer specific and adapted programs to EU workplaces to help implementing concrete sport and mobility activities at work. Implementation Project based on 3 phases to develop go-into-action programs for companies:โขA phase of research with a state-of-art and diagnostic on PA and mobility at work and a survey targeting employers and employees to identify major levers and brakesโขA 3-month pilot test in 3 countries and a digital connected challenge for employees โขA phase with recommendations and lessons learnt that reach its peak during the final conference The COVID situation had impacts and generated changes on the project. Achievements * 16 countries and 800 answers for the survey:> 60% of companies offer PA, 82% take initiatives for mobility> Main break identified: lack of will of both employee (60%) and employer (43%), only 15% considered financial aspects as a barrier* 677 persons in Latvia, France and Belgium part of the pilot* 150 attendants at the Conference despite the COVID situation, on site and remotely* New deliverables to help decision-makers and employers to invest in physical activity and mobility programs
