Background Sport is indispensable and fulfils important functions. It offers opportunities for physical activity in a world where physical activity is increasingly diminishing; it promotes good health and well-being (when pursued in moderation); and it provides a means of social contact/social inclusion and ample opportunity/equal opportunities for intensive experiences (in line with the selected priority: Promote education in and through sport with special focus on skills development). Objectives Ecocom Project aimed to raise the number of young people who pursue sports activities outdoors (such as Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Canoe/Kayak, Curling, Cycling, Football, Golf, Handball, Shooting, Skating, Skiing, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Motorcycle racing, Mountaineering and climbing, Orienteering, Roller sports, Sport climbing, Squash etc.) in an eco-friendly manner: to make sports-related infrastructure more environmentally compatible and reduce damage to vulnerable outdoor. Implementation Overall, the project has been coordinated by Gazi University.
