Background In line with the European Council conclusions of 18 November 2010 on the role of sport as a source of and a driver for active social inclusion, the WINGS project has as a main objective to“encourage and promote participation in sport of people who come from disadvantaged backgrounds, at the same time as ensuring their inclusion into society through sport by introducing them to new social networks and equipping them with new skills” Objectives Objectives of WINGS project:- Encourage and promote participation in sport of women and girls who are victims of violence or risk of being victims of violece - Strengthen a network of cooperation among the partners participating in the project- Promote good practices of sport among taget groups- disseminate all the materials, documents and studies produced throughout the project to stakeholders and policy makers working with the target groups Implementation WINGS project was implemented in a very difficult period of frequent lock downs and restrictions for sport and travel. The partners managed a wide promotional campaign to target groups and stakeholders for two consequitive years for 25 November / the international day for the elimination of violence on women. 5 TPMs were organised to share the experiences of partners and plan joined campaigns. Achievements WINGS partners succeded to organise a wide transnational campaign to promote sport against gender violence. Hundreds of women and men, girls and boys posted photoes with the WINGS tshirts and masks to say NO to violence. The WINGS FB page has more than 1300 followers and reached more than 60 000 people (approx. 30000 for 25 November 2020 campaign, and 30 000 in the 2021 campaign). Local and regional media reflected widely the campaigns.
