▶Summary
Background In 2014, based on the results of research carried out by the European Agency for Fundamental Rights, more than 50% of European LGBTI people try to avoid specific places for fear of not being able to declare their identity. In 42% of these cases, the mentioned places are clubs and sports associations. These numbers, combined with the percentage of trans people who are included in sports activities (Less than 5%) is the background on which the project "it's all about us" is based. Objectives general objectivePromote the inclusion of trans people in sports associationsspecific objectives:- Raise awareness on the dynamics of oppression and discrimination of trans people-Provide the tools to the staff of sports associations to foster a more inclusive environment that is supportive and welcoming- Promote good sports practices as educational moments and for the promotion of equality. Implementation the implementation had a lifecycle of 24 months, with many downtimes due to the pandemic. The international work took place with an international online kick-off meeting, 3 transnational meetings, and an online closure. In addition, there were many organizational meetings and mid-term evaluation meetings. At the end of the project, 44 young people have traveled for the international meetings, and more than 100 people were involved in various capacities in the project. Achievements The activities of this project have produced the following results:-increase knowledge about the LGBT world-Increase knowledge about the discrimination suffered by trans people-Know the techniques of non-formal education to guide sessions in which sport can be used as a tool for integration-Provide tools for associations and their staff to create a more inclusive environment for trans people- know the admissible glossary-Acquire counseling methods
